Terms of service
These terms govern use of LocaleQA during free early access. Billing is not active and no paid subscription is created by using the service.
Effective August 6, 2026
Agreement and eligibility
By using LocaleQA, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use LocaleQA for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
The early-access service
LocaleQA provides deterministic, non-linguistic checks for supported localization files and produces review reports. Early access currently includes 25 scans per UTC month, the latest 10 retained reports, and 3 active share links per account or browser. These allowances may change with reasonable notice.
Early access is provided for evaluation. Features, formats, limits, and availability may change, and the service may contain defects. Pricing shown on the site is informational until checkout is explicitly activated.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for access to your email account, signed-in browser, and share links. You must provide an email address you are authorized to use and promptly notify LocaleQA if you suspect unauthorized access. A share link grants report access to anyone who possesses it.
Your files and instructions
You retain ownership of files, glossary entries, and other content you submit. You grant LocaleQA a limited right to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and provide the service, including generating and storing reports and exports.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content. Do not upload regulated, export-controlled, classified, or highly sensitive personal information unless you have independently confirmed that LocaleQA's current early-access safeguards and provider terms are appropriate for that use.
Acceptable use
You may not use LocaleQA to violate law or third-party rights, probe or bypass security or usage controls, distribute malware, interfere with service operation, overload the service, access another user's reports without authorization, or use report sharing to distribute unlawful content.
Reports and professional judgment
LocaleQA reports are deterministic technical review aids. They do not translate content, judge linguistic quality, certify legal or regulatory compliance, guarantee a successful build or release, or replace human review and platform-specific testing. You remain responsible for release and delivery decisions.
Availability, suspension, and termination
LocaleQA may limit, suspend, or end early-access availability to protect users, maintain security, enforce these terms, comply with law, or change the product. You may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of your account and saved reports by contacting support.
Intellectual property and feedback
LocaleQA and its software, design, documentation, and branding remain the property of their respective owner. If you provide feedback, LocaleQA may use it to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you, but this does not transfer ownership of your localization files or reports.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, early access is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free output.
To the extent permitted by law, LocaleQA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from early-access use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
LocaleQA is operated by Ryo Washiyama. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice. Questions, support requests, and legal notices can be sent to ryo@localeqa.com.
